How to disinfect and clean the water in the well itself
At us in Krasnodar territory, in many areas the situation with water not the best. We have a hot summer, and the Kuban region is agricultural, so water is very actively used for irrigation of plots, fields and vegetable gardens, so here as in the proverb "Whoever has eaten that and ate" because in the tap it usually does not happen in the summer.
The output is seen here 2 - well and well (for more information about the device of the well, in this article).
A well may already be on the site if you bought it in the secondary market. If you do not have it, and you are going to dig it yourself, the problem of the purity of the water still remains, and especially this applies to the so-called "swimming pools" in the Kuban, in which water is poured in order to use it afterwards, as water is not flowing, on the streets of the roast - the result is clear.
And what can we say about the old well, which for years nobody has looked - here the problem of disinfection and cleaning in general will become a priority. But there are also annoying cases when a pet falls into the well or accidentally gets some sort of garbage, which immediately makes the water in the well unsuitable not only for drinking, but also for household needs.
One-time disinfection and general disinfection of the well.
First of all, the water that already exists in the well (in the old it already exists, but in the new one can be fed) must be pumped out or scooped up. For these purposes, any deep or surface pump is suitable. I am using Kama 10. You can also use the Malyshok downhole pump - just in this case I recommend attaching any stick or armature half a meter long to the pump body - in this case, when the pump is immersed, it will stop near the bottom at a height that is sufficient to pump out the bulk of the water and at the same time, do not “grab” the slurry and mud that usually occurs at the bottom of the well (the baby burns out very quickly when pumping mud).
Next, you should prepare a solution for disinfection and disinfection of the well.
As a rule, it is prepared in such proportions: 20-25 milligram of bleach per liter of water. If you plan to disinfect with pure chlorine, then it will be needed in 4-5 less for the same liter of water.
With this solution, treat the walls of the well (you can either spray it, or just lightly "whiten" the walls with a mop or bast on a stick). I recommend after this give the well at least a few hours to stand dry - the effect of disinfection will be higher.
That in the old that in the new well it is necessary to correctly calculate the amount of water contained in it - this must be done in order to maintain the correct concentration of the solution for disinfection in the future.
For example, there are often wells made from standard rings of concrete. The diameter of their internal space is 1 meter, and the height is 90 centimeters, and therefore, in this ring will contain about seven hundred liters of water. Now it's easy to find out the total volume of water by the number of well rings.
Now you can fill the well again. When the water is poured to the desired level, pour into it a solution prepared in this way:
Consistency: 1 liter now take 200 mg of bleach.
Process: Prepare the dishes of the desired volume, pour in it the necessary amount of cold (namely cold, because warm water provokes the evaporation of chlorine) of water. Add to the water the amount of bleach that is calculated for this volume of water, to prevent evaporation of chlorine, close the vessel with a sealed lid and mix well. Allow the chlorine solution to settle, and pour the clean top layer of the solution into another suitable container.
This is the solution and pour into the well for its disinfection, and then carefully mix the water to make it better off - you can do it with a bucket - just draw water into the bucket and lift it to the surface and pour it back. If the well is very deep, then you will have to resort to the help of the pole.
After carefully mixing the water, you can leave your well at least for 24 hours, pre-sealing the well's neck (again, in order to prevent the volatilization of chlorine).
The next day, repeat the entire process of disinfection of the well from start to finish.
Remember that at this time, that is, during disinfection and cleaning up the well, well water is by no means impossible even for technical purposes - not to mention drinking such water!
After you have performed the secondary disinfection process, the water from the well should be completely drained. If the water still bleaches, then the process of filling and pumping the water from the well, repeat anew and do this until the smell of bleach does not completely disappear, after the water stops smelling the well, clean it with clean water. After that, the water will be suitable for drinking not less than a week, so to be sure, do a water analysis in the sanitary-epidemiological service of your settlement (or the nearest one if it is a summer cottage or a summer residence).
Daily disinfection of water in the well.
Daily disinfection of water in the well is required when in the area where you live and where your well is located, there is a danger of spreading the epidemic of intestinal infections. Then, as long as this threat exists, as a preventive measure it is worthwhile to disinfect water in the well with chlorine daily.
In this case, the solution is prepared with a decrease in the mass of chlorine in 40-50 times. That is, instead of the previously taken 200 milligram of chlorine will need to use from two d5 grams per liter of water.
The exact consistency of chlorine in water for thorough disinfection of water can be established as follows: prepare three glasses with pre-filled well water in them and a one-percent solution of bleach. Then, using a medical pipette, add to the first 2 a drop of solution, in the second 4 drops and in a third glass of 6 drops. Mix the water and cover, and leave for half an hour, if you prepare the solution in summer and at 2 hours, if the process of preparing the solution for disinfection takes place in the winter. After that, just smell the glasses, starting from the first (with the lowest concentration of bleach, so that the scent does not immediately stop) - for the chlorination and disinfection of water, the consistency in which the water smells of chlorine weakly. If in any vessel the water does not smell chlorine, then repeat the process by increasing the doses of bleach.
Calculation of the solution necessary for disinfection of one cubic meter of water.
Suppose for chlorination is the second glass (in which 4 drops of bleach were poured). Hence, for cleaning and disinfection 1 liters of water in the well will require 20 drops, and thousands of liters - 20 thousand drops. In 1 milliliters of a 1% solution of bleach, 25 drops are contained. Proceeding from this, it is easy to calculate that for daily water disinfection in the well, we will need 800 milliliters of chlorine solution with a concentration of 1%.
Such careful calculations of the concentration of the solution are necessary, because effective disinfection of well water is achieved only when the exact concentration and ratio of water to the bleach solution are achieved. If the well is flowing, and not the Kuban "pool" - that is, water enters it that replaces the one you take, then the solution must be added constantly.
The safety during cleaning and disinfection of water is simple, but it is necessary: use a cotton-gauze dressing, slightly moistened with water, if there is a gas mask or a respirator, then use it. Eyes must necessarily be protected with glasses - remember that chlorine even in the smallest concentrations is very toxic!

There is an old well in our dacha section. The previous owners said that they used water from it as drinking water. However, it was cloudy, and we were afraid to drink it. Another water, tap, on the site for a long time will not be. Is there any way to purify water from a well?
#
Probably, the well has not been used for a long time, and with prolonged stagnation of water, organic residues (for example, foliage, if there is no cover over the well), decomposition takes place, the water gets an unpleasant smell and becomes turbid.
The depressurization of seams, joints or cracks on the walls contributes to the penetration of the upper waters with mud, sand, sewage. It is also necessary to check the presence of a clay "apron" along the perimeter of the well-it protects against the "perchage" entering the well water.
Having found out the reason, you will have to carry out restoration work. Pump out all the water, clean the walls of internal layers with a stiff brush, scoop up organic debris and debris from the bottom with buckets. Repair the walls of the well, closing all joints and cracks. The next stage is disinfection with chlorine-based preparations or ultraviolet radiation. It is better to entrust this work to specialists or at least consult with them when choosing a disinfectant in order to know how long it will work.

If there is no way to aim at anything large, start small. A win-win option is a decorative well. If you have a few hundred square meters, the interesting design of the well is quite capable of turning it into an architectural dominant of the suburban area. Immediately make a reservation that the decorative well is not just an ornament. A light log house of unusual shape can be covered, for example, with a water well. Is it bad, if instead of a dull iron pipe a fairy tale will appear?
Where you want, put it there
In addition, such a decorative well will also be fully functional.
If the well performs only a decorative function, this also has its own plus. Indeed, in this case, you can place it in any corner of the site, exactly where it will look best. For example, at the bathhouse or at the border of the garden zone. By the way, in each of these cases, a decorative well will be not only an image detail. If a decorative log house hides a barrel of water, then you can water the garden and roll out of the bucket after the steam room. My well is just that - with a barrel. Moreover, since the necessary
the size of the logs I did not have at hand, I had to refuse the log.
I took a frost-resistant plastic cistern and dug it into the ground. The size of the pit made 30 cm more than the size of the tank, in order to compress the soil later. The bottom laid out a brick with a sand cushion in 20 cm. On this basis, the tank "does not walk" when the soil freezes and thaws. From the ground the tank stood on 40 cm.
Around the tank, I made a reinforced concrete blind with a thickness of 10 cm. I let the solution dry and took up the work with the tree. For racks bought a bar (its size will depend on the size of your capacity, but at least 5X5). You can fix the beams in two ways.
1. Vrubka "vpolderova."
2. Connection in the groove, fastened by tightening bolts. Roof over the well I recommend to make of the same material as the roof of the house or bath.
The most pleasant stage pleasing to the eye is the finishing decorative finish of the walls of the well. You can cover the walls with decorative brick, stones or tiles.
