How to make a staircase to the second floor in the country (one-mast)
The ladder to the second floor was done together with the eldest son. We have a machine for sawing and pruning boards, so there was not much work to create it.
The ladder was straight marching.
Installation of socks
First we installed kosoury.
These are two thick and long boards, on which the steps of the ladder march should rest. One of them was attached to the wall, and the second to the floor of the first floor and the floor of the second. In several places they were pulled together with wooden blocks.
For kosour we took strong and straight boards with a width of 30 cm and a thickness of 5 cm - these will be the main burden.
We did not cut out the podstupniki, but strengthened them as the staircase was erected.

Steps for the ladder ladder with their own hands
For the steps taken boards thickness of 3,5 cm and a width of 30 cm, and for padders of width 15, see.
All boards were previously ground on the machine, cutting the top layer from all sides. Steps we did so that they stood for the plane of the podstupennikov.
Two boards went on the steps, one on the riser.
We started the work from the bottom. At first, the podstupnik was attached with self-tapping screws, and then the step. All joints to prevent the creaking, which usually occurs when walking on the stairs, greased with joinery glue. In total, 8 steps were created.
Since on one side there is a wall near the staircase, we made a railing on the other side. Balusters bought in the store, they are carved, very beautiful.
Installation of balusters ladder
Unfortunately, it's difficult to do this on the machine itself. Balusters installed on each step one by one. First, fixed support balusters at the beginning and at the end of the stairs, and between them all the rest.
They were also fastened with screws. Then put the banisters on the balusters, fixing them with screws from below.
Next, we armed ourselves with sandpaper, once again went through all the surfaces of the staircase, and there, where the fastenings were visible, then fixed the stubs. All surfaces were covered first with stain, and then with a colorless varnish in three layers.
After they made a ladder in the house, they decided to equip the staircase from the street side, to the balcony-terrace (on the photo).

Most of the summer residents have small houses, and therefore usually to expand the useful space, instead of attics, they construct second floors (or, as they say, attics). And how to get there? Clearly, on the stairs. But since there are few places in the house, they usually build them very steep, and even with narrow high stairs. I also enjoyed this two seasons. And all this time, making acrobatic stunts on it, puzzled how to improve it with minimal costs (there was no talk of perestroika).
In the end, it turned out that all ingenious is really simple. I picked up boards of the same thickness as the steps, and about 10-15 cm wide. I sawed them into two types of workpieces: some are equal to half the length of the steps, while others correspond to their height. She knocked out of them nothing resembling U-shaped benches and put each of them in turn to the steps: one from the left edge, the next from the right, and so on to the end of the stairs (see photo). And it turned out that I increased the steps (or “got”) in width in a checkerboard pattern.
All this was fixed with the help of metal corners (they must first be screwed on, and then to the stairs, otherwise you become tortured with a screwdriver under the steps) and self-tapping screws. By the way, you can do one of the "dobors" on one, located closer to the center of the stairs, and mount the opposite edge either to the wall, or to the strings of the staircase at once to the corners, but this is more convenient for anyone. As a result, I got a staircase like a ladder, it was much easier to climb and go down, because now it is not necessary to turn the feet apart, for fear of slipping off the step.
