How to make a blanket of jeans flap
VNUK FORWARD long ago asked me to sew it from the scoops, but I could not decide what would come for a small man. FINALLY FIND AN ORIGINAL AND SIMPLE IDEA, WHICH IMMEDIATELY EXPLOSED IN LIFE.
To make a patchwork plaid, it took:
old jeans, cotton stripes of suitable coloring, scissors, cardboard, tough brush tailors' pins, threads, needle, sintepon.
Plaid of shreds - the course of production
1. Sliced ββjeans on round details d 16 cm, cotton fabric - on squares with sides 12 cm, and from the sintepon cut out square elements with sides 11,5 cm.
2. For marking the seams, cut out the cardboard pattern-square with sides 12 cm. I applied it to each round denim blank from the wrong side and circled around the perimeter, marking the places for the seams.
3. Sew all the jeans mugs among themselves in the strip (photo 1), alternating light and dark details (the blanket consists of 14 stripes on 10 parts).
4. For each denim circle put the synthepon piece, and on it - from cotton fabric. The allowances of workpieces bent upward and fixed with pins (photo 2) The resulting "petals" detached on the front side at a distance of 5 mm from the edge (photo 3)
5. Strips collected in a single canvas, cobbled with pins and sewed. The allowances were ironed and detached (photo 4). With this method of assembling shreds, the wrong side of the product is very neat and does not require an additional lining (photo 5).
6. Sharp scissors cut the "petals" along the edges, not reaching the seam 1 -2 mm (photo 6)
7. I washed the plaid in the typewriter in the cotton mode.
8. Dried the product and rubbed all the sections with a metal brush to form a fringe.
Granddaughter appreciated my work!
By the way
To cut the allowances better in the course of work, without leaving the last (I very strongly rubbed my hand with scissors, while cutting the "petals" at once on 140 squares).

DIY sweater blanket
Friends gave me a huge sweater for threads. But when I started to dissolve it from the sleeves, I immediately realized that the threads in it were βnot of the first youth,β so nothing of them could be knitted. Replacing and loosening the sleeves, as well as the side seams, I unfolded in front of me a large knitted rectangle with a hole for the neckline in the middle - it immediately formed in my head that I liked the color scheme and was great for a blanket.
From the threads that came out when the sleeves were unraveled. I knitted two borders.
Knitted square motifs (you can use any crochet pattern you like) and connected them into a ribbon. I sewed the resulting openwork "braid" along the edges of the knitted fabric, increasing its width from 69 to 90 cm. I made a fringe from the rest of the threads and tied it along the edges of the ribbon, additionally decorated the plain areas with the same motifs. In the area of ββthe neck, open loops remained. I closed the hole in a single fabric with a special knitted seam (see diagrams). In the photo, you can understand what a big blanket I got.

Mug in the rags do it yourself
During the enthusiasm for patchwork, I have accumulated a lot of scraps of fabric. Sewn from them a bright case and a cup stand in your favorite technique.
It took: colored scraps of fabric synthetic winterizer cotton fabric 7 Γ 25 cm elastic band 2 buttons 120-130 cm oblique inlay.
1. I drew a diagram of the case and the stand, taking into account the size of the mug (I have it 25 Γ 9 cm)
(see diagram). Picked up the right fabric colors.
2. Assembled the βheartβ block (see diagram). For this, strips of red fabric measuring 3 Γ 1 cm were stitched with similar white ones. Got 4 stripes. Smoothed. Then a white part 3 Γ 1 cm connected with color and red. Ironed. 3 identical blocks came out. Next, the red blanks 3 Γ 3 cm sewn with a block of 3 stripes. Similarly, I executed them with white 3 Γ 3 cm. I connected them together, forming a block of 6 Γ 6 cm. I attached white strips, starting with a size of 6 Γ 1 cm, and then 7x 1 cm. I received a part 7 Γ 7 cm (taking into account 0,7 , XNUMX cm for stock).
3. To form the canvas, I connected the colored scraps of 2 Γ 2 cm to each other in strips of 3. Smooth it with an iron. Then I assembled the parts according to the scheme
4. Ironed and sewn with padding and cotton fabric lining. Quilted.
5. Slices processed oblique bake.
6. Sewed two buttons (so as not to interfere with the handle of the mug) and two elastic bands in the form of loops.
7. The scheme sewed a stand under the cup. The edges of the piped treated (see photo)
