Technique of paper art - paper art
THIS AUTHOR TECHNOLOGY ALLOWS USING PAPER, PVA ADHESIVE AND HANDLING MATERIALS TO SIMULATE VARIOUS SURFACES. TRANSLATED FROM ENGLISH PAPE ART - “PAPER ART”. But to master this technique is easy, because she was invented specifically for classes with children.
Consider the technique of Pape Art on an example.
1. The glass bottle is cleaned from stickers made of polyethylene (paper can be left).
2. Cut into small strips of toilet paper and cover the entire surface of the bottle, stretching the paper a bit and gluing well with PVA glue. We start from the bottom, and after it has dried we proceed to the upper half (photo 1)
3. Cover the resulting blank with a layer of liquid PVA, mixed 1: 1 with water, and dry (photo 2) Draw a pencil sketch on the product itself.
4. The pattern is made of any self-hardening material (it can be made from a salted dough). Elements are still damp on the workpiece and leave to dry (photo 3)
5. Fold a three-layer (it is possible two-layer) paper napkin and cut into strips with a width of about 1-1,5cm. Strips are dismantled, in each there should be three or two layers (photo 4)
6. Holding the strip at one end, dip it into the water (photo 5).
We scroll the strip between the palms, folding the flagellum (photo 6)
It's important
Do not hold the workpiece for long in water, otherwise the paper will get wet. You can roll threads on a tissue napkin, they will be denser and thinner. If the napkin strips break, try not to wet them, but your hands.
7. We twist spirals, petals, curls from napkin threadworms. We glue the pattern on the workpiece still raw (photo 7). If the parts are dry - we moisten, scroll again and create new ones.
8. Cover the finished product with a layer of liquid PVA and leave to dry.
9. We paint with black acrylic paint or gouache, diluted with acrylic lacquer. We dry.
10. A piece of foam is applied to the bottle with a thin layer of acrylic gold paint in two layers.
11. That the product is not afraid of water and has served longer, it is necessary to cover it with 2-3 layers of colorless yacht lacquer.

Wizard Tips:
When you need a long solid paper thread, connect it in two ways (only a damp material!):
1. Uneven edges stick together, a little going on each other (unevenness hide the joint).
2. I cut off both of the joining tips with scissors and connect them.
