At the very beginning of my dacha "career", I could not think that with vegetative ailments it is possible to fight in some other way than using solutions of insecticides or fungicides. Therefore, the beginning of each dacha season for me was commemorated by a trip to the store, where I had to spread a tidy sum for all this chemistry.
However, the abundance of garden and garden problems finally made me turn to the experienced for advice, from which I learned about the unique properties of garlic.
It turned out that this traditional vegetable of our beds is able to deal with annoying insects attempting to harvest in two counts. It is no less effective in combating fungal diseases of plants. Collected tips on how to use garlic, I rechecked on my personal experience and, judging their unparalleled effect, I now apply annually on my site.

GARLIC FROM PESTS
1. GARLIC AGAINST THERAPY
Garlic infusion helps me to fight aphids in garden and garden crops. As this wily guy does not let me get bored during the whole season, I prepare the infusion for future use and use it as necessary. I rub in a mortar to the state of the gruel 200 g cloves of garlic, then I place in a jar with a volume of 1 l and pour up to the top with warm water. I keep the jar with the lid closed in a warm dark place for 5 days, periodically shaking the contents. Then filter the infusion, I pour it into a bottle of dark glass, plug it and put it in the fridge. When I notice the colony of aphids on the shoots of plants, 100 ml infusion into 5 l of water and abundantly moisten the solution with the affected area.
2. GARLIC AGAINST WEIGHING TICKET AND TRIPS.
These pests are most active in hot and dry summers. To save them from my planting, first I prepare the infusion of a dandelion: 1 - 1,5 kg of fresh chopped herb I insist in a bucket of water 2 days. Then in the infusion I add a glass of garlic scooped through a meat grinder and let the cocktail stand for about half an hour. After that, I strain the fragrant infusion, I pour into the watering can and irrigate the damaged plants.
3. GARLIC AGAINST CUCUMBER.
The same infusion of garlic and dandelions will quickly deal with the caterpillars on the cabbage. Usually, 2–3 treatments with an interval of 1–2 days are enough to completely rid the planting of larvae and scoops.
4. GARLIC AGAINST CROSS-BLOOD BLOCK.
To combat the cruciferous flea, which throughout the warm season attacks cabbage, radish, radish, daikon and other cruciferous cultures, I use another recipe. In 10 l l of warm water I pour a glass of sifted wood ash and leave for the night. In the morning to fly infusion I add a glass of garlic gruel; after half an hour, filter the liquid and dissolve in it 1 / 4 a bar of tar soap rubbed on a grater. To get rid of plantings from the already appeared flea, the plants water from the watering can with such infusion every 2 - 3 days, and in order to prevent the invasion of processing it is enough to spend once a week.
5. GARLIC AGAINST COLORADIAN BEETLE.
To combat the voracious Colorado potato beetle, I use an odorous infusion of garlic and celandine. To this end, I place 5 - 6 uncleaned garlic heads (I press them with a rolling pin) into the bucket, as well as 1,5 kg of crushed celandine grass. Content poured hot water to the top, I cover with a lid and I insist for 5 - 6 days.
Then, the infusion is filtered and I spray potato bushes and the ground under them, repeating the procedure every week. I go to the country house on weekends, and a new portion of such a lethal cocktail just ripens for my next visit.
Prevention of fungal diseases with garlic
In addition to powerful phytoncides that repel garden pests, garlic contains valuable compounds (which possess antiseptic and bactericidal properties), which suppress the activity of pathogens of fungal diseases of plants. Therefore, garlic infusion helps to get rid of plant diseases such as late blight, rust, scab, bacteriosis, gray mold, etc. But it should be noted that such a tool should be used at the first signs of a fungal infection, and it is better and at all in advance for prevention. At the advanced stage of the disease, garlic will be powerless, here it is the turn of the deadly chemistry.
I spray plants to protect against diseases, without waiting for their unpleasant symptoms. To do this, I prepare a concentrated infusion based on 0,5 kg of garlic cloves. I let the vegetable pass through the meat grinder, put the gruel in a saucepan and pour 5l of warm water.
Content hold for an hour under the lid, then filter and pour again squeeze 1 l clean warm water. After another hour, I filter the second infusion, connect it with the first and bring the volume to 10 l, pouring clean water. For foliar spraying for every 10 l of water, I inject 1.5 glass of this infusion.
TIP. To delay garlic cocktail on the foliage of plants, before foliar spraying add to the liquid 1-2 st. a spoonful of liquid or a piece of solid soap rubbed on a grater (this does not apply to the composition from the cruciferous flea, where the tar soap is already contained). I spend any of the treatments in the evening, and if suddenly there is an "unplanned" rain, then after I finish the procedure I repeat again.
THE ANTS ARE AFRAID OF THE BLUE
Garlic squeezes, left after preparation of each of the infusions, I use for the second purpose: I lay out close to the tree trunks and the bases of berry bushes. This helps to scare away ants from the garden crops, which are grazed on the tops of their branches.
And if I notice an anthill in the garden, I spread the cake from the infusion directly to its "top". Immediately after such a treat the ants begin to panic and grab their eggs and retire to an unknown direction.

POLYNO-GARBAGE BY HIS OWN HANDS
Infusion of garlic and wormwood is an excellent remedy against a variety of pests of fruit trees - aphids, ticks, fleas, sheds, moth flies, earwigs, etc. I fill a bucket with a freshly cut wormwood grass (which was ground with a hatchet) and pour water heated in the sun. The contents can be exposed to the sun under the cover of 3 days. Then add 300 grams of chopped garlic, mix and leave the infusion for another 30-40 minutes. After a thorough straining, I pour the fragrant elixir into the sprayer and moisten the crown of the affected tree abundantly. The same infusion sprayed with strawberries for protection against weevil.
In this case, prevention is more effective than treatment: it is important to scare off adult pests from planting and prevent them from laying eggs on the plants, as the larvae operating inside the ovary reduce the yield. To do this, during budding buds I spend 3-4 spraying at an interval of 4-5 days and finish the procedure after blooming flowers.

From aphids, various mites and badges very well helps infusion of garlic.
I prepare it this way: I disassemble a few heads for teeth. Do not clean! 300 g teeth finely crumble or pass through a large lattice grinder.
This mass should be poured 2 l very hot (but not boiling water) and leave to infuse for two days. Obtained infusion of strain, squeeze cake. Store 1 whole season in tightly closed containers in a cool place.
Apply as follows: add 2 g of tar soap planed on a fine grater to 40 liters of infusion, mix well until the soap chips are completely dissolved, add 8 liters of cold water. The resulting liquid in dry weather in the morning and evening, I abundantly spray plants affected by pests.
By the way, not to deal with planing soap, you can use it in liquid form with a dispenser (sold in hardware stores). Suitable and shampoo for cats and dogs, used against parasites (you can buy at a pet store).

Many colleagues use the insecticidal properties of garlic, preparing funds for a variety of recipes. I want to share my "drug" to protect the site from most pests.
To make it, you need to take a large head of garlic. All the denticles are to be crushed in any way, better, of course, on a garlic press. Then the resulting "porridge" should be poured 200 ml of vegetable oil and mix thoroughly. To insist means should within a day, and periodically it should be stirred. After this, the oil tincture should be poured 3 l of water. To obtain a homogeneous emulsion, everything must be well mixed. It is ideal to use a blender or mixer for this.
Immediately after mixing, I pour the liquid into the sprayer and process all the plants in the garden and vegetable garden. I do this about once a month, although in rainy weather more frequent spraying is required. After such procedures, practically no pests remain on the site.
