HOW TO REPAIR PLASTIC BLINDS WITH YOUR HANDS
WE HAVE ADDRESSED TO THAT THAT WE HAVE A MANY SET OF THINGS THAT COME TO BE REMOVED AFTER THE FIRST SILENCE. BUT SOMETIMES DOES NOT LIKE TO SLEEP WITH THIS, AND TO TRY TO REPAIR, AS YURI MIKHAILOV MADE IT, RESTORING BROKEN BLINDS IN THE COTTAGE.
No words, a convenient thing is plastic blinds.
They are beautiful and functional. And they impress with elegance not only in appearance, but also in design (if, of course, you can use the term "elegance" to design decisions). However, there is a problem - they break.
У plastic blinds have a weak spot - where the cord lock is installed in the upper ledge. Under it is cut a special hole, which reduces the strength of the cornice just in this very place. And it is here that the cornice is subjected to the greatest point loads when lifting and lowering the blinds (strips) of the blinds. Moreover, when the lifting height is changed, the load vector is directed downward, and when the slats are fixed, the load vector changes direction by almost the opposite direction. There is something like how we break a rod, bending it in opposite directions. And it happens that the blinds are raised with a jerk, which increases the load on the cornice many times.
Sooner or later the cornice breaks. This is exactly what happened with the two blinds I had, which often rose and fell. And now what? Do not throw them away, really!

WHAT TO DO WITH THE BLINDLIFE?
To use these blinds further, it was necessary to restore the integrity of the upper cornice, that is, somehow fix the broken parts and, most importantly, strengthen the cornice in the place of breakage, giving it additional strength and rigidity, so that it becomes stronger than before. The idea is to use a specially selected and appropriately crafted corner.
Corner install from the inside of the eaves and attach it to the plastic side bolts. Most likely, you can use glue, but it seemed non-technological.
PREPARATION FOR REPAIR
In such cases, in my experience, the metal corner is best suited. And aluminum, because when using for fixing steel bolts you can do without nuts, simply screwing the bolts into aluminum, appropriately picking up the diameter of the holes. The size of the corner should be chosen so that it sat as tightly as possible inside the eaves. With a wide assortment of corners in shops it is not difficult to do this.
Now a few explanations about one trick. Between the support of the swivel mechanism and the cornice there is a small gap, in which the aluminum corner just passes. This is important, because the distance from the place of breakage to the support is too small, so that it is not enough that you can count on a reliable fastening to the main part of the cornice. For the finished part, for obvious reasons, you need to carefully deburr the burrs.
ASSEMBLING THE BLINDS
Installation of the corner is best to start with a wreck. So it is more convenient to insert the lock and push the corner under the caliper. It is clear that to each part of the cornice the corner must be fastened in at least two or three places. It's enough.
To fix the front part of the cornice, we select or make a plate, which we tightly insert between the lock and the ledge shelf and put it on the glue Moment. I used a piece of a wooden popsicle stick - it fit perfectly.
That's all. I believe that similar problems can be solved in a similar way.
