DIY adjustable hinges - an interesting idea
ADJUSTABLE DOOR HINGES WITH HANDS
On whatever curtains the wicket was fixed, it still eventually sags and it is necessary to regularly change something or repair it.
In order to simplify this process as much as possible, we made adjusting loops.
I cut a 8 × 10 cm square from sheet metal 10 mm thick and bent it at an angle of 90 degrees.
In the resulting shelves along the edges drilled holes d 10 mm. To one of the strips perpendicularly welded two ears with holes d 20 mm. The first part of the veil is ready (see photo p.1)
From the same material made a L-shaped (2) workpiece with slats of length 10 and 5cm.
Also drilled the necessary holes for self-tapping screws. To a larger shelf approximately in the middle perpendicularly welded the same eyelet as described above. This is the second part of the veil.
To connect and adjust both parts made of metal rod d 12 mm T-shaped lock with thread (3).
First, a smaller part of it was inserted into the holes of two ears, and then welded to it a stud with M 12 thread.
He screwed the finished curtains into place and screwed two nuts onto the hairpin.
When the wicket sags, adjust the gap by rotating the nuts of the upper or lower loops.
