    IF THE GRAPE DOESN'T TIME TO MATURE ...
    In August, it is necessary to mint grapes - pruning vines and stepsons. Tear off all the leaves covering the bunches so that they are lit as best as possible by the sun. In July - August, foliar top dressing with potassium, humate and succinic acid.
    Separate bunches of grapes can be placed in plastic bags with several openings for air exchange.

    If the clusters begin to ripen, but the berries do not have time to gain sugar content, then before the onset of cold weather, cut them together with vines 50-70 cm long, paraffin the ends and hang them in a cool, dry room - they will reach a little, tanning. If you grow grapes for wine, then sugar content can be raised with sugar, i.e. increase the density of juice by diluting sugar in it.

      Removing the tops of all shoots on grapes with 6-8 upper leaves is called chasing. At the same time over clusters leave at least 10-12 leaves. The operation is carried out with a pruner, sharp knife or sickle.
      It is carried out on regularly irrigated vineyards, on vigorous and late varieties, on rich soils and in rainy years. In non-irrigated conditions, the operation is necessary on vigorous plants, as well as varieties with weak maturation of the shoots.
      This is done to achieve the following goals:
      - for the ripening of shoots, then fruitful buds are better laid on them;
      - to improve the access of light to bunches, which increases their quality: size, juiciness increases, the appearance of berries improves;
      - to enhance the ventilation of bushes, which prevents the development of diseases.

      This operation is carried out at a time when the active growth of shoots and berries is suspended. Due to the fact that varieties grow and ripen in different ways, they are minted at different times. The exact term is determined by the condition of the vine. The best sign of the attenuation of shoot growth, when and when it is necessary to engage in chasing, is the straightening of the tips of the shoots (with active
      they are bent in height). In Belarus and central Russia, this usually occurs from late July to mid-August. Later chasing does not give the desired results.
      Note
      Remember: do not mint young grape bushes and light-growing wine grape varieties in the hot and dry summer.
      Council
      It is impossible to mint shoots during their strong growth - this will lead to rapid growth of the upper stepchildren and cause another thickening of the bushes, worsen the ripening of the crop and vines. Usually wintering eyes in the axils of the leaves may wake up ahead of time, which will deprive the harvest next year.
