HOW TO REPAIR AND CHARGE SABEL BATTERY ACCUMULATOR
What is not pleasant is that the battery to the saber saw “Riobi” ordered to live long - stopped charging. I didn’t want to buy a new one, because it costs about 4000 rubles.
At first it seemed to me that after a big overload the battery burned down. I tried to cut a very thick tree by inserting a canvas longer than the regular one. I cut down a tree, but the battery was dead and did not want to charge anymore.
It was necessary to open the battery and measure the voltage on the banks: maybe one of them failed? Replace it - and all the cases.
The cogs on which the body of the saw and battery are assembled are tricky. The key head is a six-sided asterisk. Unscrew the screw with a regular hex head.
Rescued the case. A long time ago I bought a set of keys on the radio market. I thought that the hexagons, and turned out to be asterisks. For many years, the set was lying in the tool box, until, turning over the keys, I did not stumble upon it.
So I managed to open the battery "Riobi". Different keys and screwdrivers is not enough. If you bought a set of screwdrivers with unusual heads, be sure - it will come in handy soon!
Measured the voltage on all five banks. Each lithium cell had more than three volts - it looks like all the banks are alive. It could be concluded that the charger was broken.

How do I charge?
You had to think how to charge the battery. I had a universal charger, and I could charge each jar separately if they were taken out. We had to invent some kind of adapter. Immediately nothing original occurred to me, except to make a wooden insert in a universal charger. From it, throw the wire and try to charge each jar separately.
The cylinder sawed off from the round beech slats. Several of these racks from the old crib was stored in the barn. That came in handy.
Contact terminals are cut from thin (О, А mm) galvanization.
Wooden "battery" is inserted into the charger and set the charging parameters. I charged each cell of the battery separately: in the morning I started, in the evening I finished. All five cells were charged up to 4.2 B.
In shape, they resemble the contacts of a rechargeable battery. Wires are soldered to the terminals. The wooden cylinder will be inserted, like a battery, into the charger.
On the other side of the wire there will be a clip for the battery. Two plates from the children's designer are attached with screws to a wooden block.
Wires threw on the screws. Screws and will be the contact group.
The clamp is installed on the battery in the battery pack.
The battery is assembled, the charge indicator showed full charge.
At first I tried to cut a piece of board - the saw worked as usual. Then he cut dry branches on a small apple.
PS Everything seemed to work, but every time it was too troublesome to disassemble the battery and charge it all day. It is necessary to make one connector for charging all the cells at once.
