IDEAS FOR KITCHEN OWN HANDS
We refresh the facades
A good kitchen, as a rule, serves for many years, without requiring major repairs. But over time, I want to add something new. Therefore, we offer you options for small transformations that will change the interior of the kitchen in one weekend.
We refresh the facades with our own hands
The fastest and most effective way to transform the kitchen is to finish the facades with self-adhesive film, which can be bought in hardware stores.
To paste over the perimeter of the facade with masking tape (you can apply markings on the facades, but it is difficult to erase it). Then wet the back of the film with water.
Wet the film gently stick on the door.
Using a doctor blade, smooth the film, removing excess water.
Patterns of small film squares will enliven the appearance of the facades.

Multi-colored puzzle
The storage space, which is always lacking, can be increased with a little trick: just slide the ready-made top wall cabinets against each other and install the shelves in the resulting gaps. The combination can be any, it all depends on your imagination and the purpose of additional storage systems.
Water resistant
On sale you can find finished oiled wooden countertops for the kitchen, but if you need water resistance, it is better to apply additional layers of oil. It is applied in layers by roller, for several hours, until the oil is no longer absorbed into the surface. The excess should just be wiped off with a rag.
Country style
If you prefer a rustic style, you don’t have to become a bricklayer. Today there are systems of panels that imitate a real stone. They are very simple - they are cut with a regular jigsaw and screwed to the wall. Joints mask putty with a brush.
Among the drawings and colors of wall coverings "under the stone" there is everything: from dimensional slate to limestone or classic red brick
Utensils upside down
This metal rack is usually used for wardrobe, setting the gap between the floor and the ceiling. In our case, it turned into a kitchen counter with a round table and holder for glasses.
1. Cut a circle of glued wood and drill a hole in the center of the stand for Forstner’s drill.
2. Similarly, cut out of plywood holder for glasses. To determine the size and number of slits, place the glasses on a circle and make a markup.
3.Forstner drill to drill the ends and cut the jumpers with a jigsaw.
4. The discs inserted between the circles will provide the necessary gap for the legs of the glasses. Mount and attach the holder to the rack.
