Fertilizer for seedlings after a do-it-yourself dive

Seedlings mount after picking
I would like to receive the advice of an experienced gardener regarding a picking of tomato seedlings. I had this operation unsuccessfully last season. What's the secret?

SEEDING AND PICKING
Like many other gardeners, I sow tomato seeds first in a common seedling box.
Before sowing, I must disinfect them in a strong solution of potassium permanganate, and then leave them in a warm place for two days, spreading them on a damp cotton cloth.
Then planting material is dried to flowability and sown in a box filled with fertile soil.
After two true leaves are formed on the seedlings, I dive them into separate cups.
For each plant, I shorten the main root by about a third and, planting in a new container, I deepen the seedlings by cotyledon.
And so that the seedlings quickly take root and start to grow after such a manipulation, after a few days I feed her with a nourishing cocktail, which I prepare from natural products.

PREPARING A “SPECIAL” FERTILIZER FOR PICKED SEEDS
For this I use fresh baker's yeast and banana peel.
Yeast contains substances that are very valuable for plants - protein, organic iron, mineral compounds, trace elements and amino acids. But since this product, when introduced into the soil, begins to take potassium from it, I make up for its possible deficiency in seedlings by the infusion of banana peel, which is one of the leaders in the content of this element.
Note
In addition to potassium, a significant amount of phosphorus, calcium and magnesium is present in the banana peel, which is very useful for plants weakened after a dive.
Here is the fertilizer preparation recipe: I chop 3 banana skins, put them in a three-liter jar and leave them in a warm place for three days, periodically stirring the contents. After this period, I prepare a yeast concentrate: I dissolve 100 g of live softened yeast in 0,5 l of warm water and leave it for 3-3,5 hours. Then pour it in
in strained banana infusion, add to the mixture 2 l of clean, settled water, mix thoroughly the contents and feed the seedlings to the root. I spend this replenishment in the evening on slightly moistened soil. I pour so much cocktail into each glass so that it soaks the entire earthen lump.
After such nutrition, the seedlings instantly come to life: literally in front of our eyes it starts growing, but most importantly, it grows strong, stocky and builds up a powerful root system. Since I began to use a banana-yeast cocktail for feeding seedlings, I am no longer afraid of picking - all plants after it take root perfectly. I repeat this top dressing in 14-17 days after the first (I prepare a fresh solution) and by the time of transplanting into the ground I get excellent seedlings with dark green leaves and strong stems.
Note
When growing seedlings of each culture, it is necessary to observe the required interval, timely thinning seedlings or diving seedlings. As practice shows, a smaller number of plants grown under optimal conditions in compliance with the correct planting pattern gives a more decent harvest and pleases with a particularly lush flowering (in the case of ornamental crops) than those painful and elongated specimens that grew in the early stages of development under conditions crowding, lack of light and nutrients.

NOTE: ARE THERE SOME GENERAL RULES - PICKING PLANTS?
Essence of the operation
When we sow, we cannot accurately predict how many seedlings will appear, and therefore, calculate the nutrition area for each of the future plants. This possibility arises when sprouts appear. And the meaning of the first transplant, which was called a pick (due to the use of a stick pointed in the form of a peak), is precisely to provide each young plant with enough “put on” in the form of a separate container. As a rule, this operation is performed when the first pair of true (not cotyledonous) leaves appear on the seedlings. The sprout is carefully removed with a “spike” from the ground and placed in a hole made with a suitable rod (pencil possible) in compacted soil.
Note
Often a pick is mistakenly called shortening the central spine for further branching of the underground part. This procedure is called tweezing: usually a third of the process is nipped off. But, as practice shows, this is not necessary at all, and, for example, for pepper and pumpkin crops, such manipulation is completely contraindicated. In addition, under drought conditions, plants with an intact central root, which can penetrate deep into the earth and “extract” moisture from there, win.
Deepening
For seedlings of different crops when transplanting (picking), there are their own parameters of burying into the soil. So, pumpkin seeds, tomatoes and eggplants are placed on the ground up to the cotyledons, and cabbage, beets, lettuce - up to real leaves. Pepper seedlings are planted in the same way as they grew in a common container or box. But this culture, due to the fact that it does not tolerate transplanting at an early age and suffers from damage to the roots, it is best to grow without a pick, each plant is in a separate glass.
Tips
Pumpkin crops are best dived right after the appearance of the first true leaflet by transshipment with a lump of earth.
It is impossible to hesitate in picking cabbage crops and beets, the shoots of which are often affected by the "black leg". For her, the most vulnerable place is the too elongated hypocotal knee (the lower part of the stem), which, when transplanted, sinks into the soil and thereby is removed from the "shelling" of the pathogen.

If the seedlings are affected by root rot, which can be judged by drooping leaves, the plants should be fed with tooth powder, which feeds the root system with calcium. It is best to use a product without special additives, excellent, for example, "Special", produced from Soviet times.
The remedy is prepared as follows: in a glass of warm water, you should dilute 5 tbsp. l. tooth powder, the same amount of sifted wood ash and half the amount of copper sulfate. All ingredients must be thoroughly mixed and immediately water the seedlings under the root. After such treatment, the seedlings are not moistened for 7-10 days and the temperature of their content is increased.
