For several years of floriculture my window sills have become like warehouses of pots, cups, bottles and boxes with cuttings and seedlings. The fascination with plants at some point turned into a mess. I decided: it's time to end this! And she began to make neat mini-planters out of ordinary cans.

STEP 1. OPEN THE BANK

Containers with an opening valve are ideal. Then you do not have to waste time on processing sharp edges. Remove the label. Remove any glue residue. The jar should be wide and deep to accommodate a seed pot or plastic cup.

STEP 2. PAINT

The pot in the form of cans in their original form are perfect for an interior with metal elements. All the pots in my house are white, so I paint the containers white. It must be clean and dry. It is convenient to use a spray bottle for painting. If you want to apply a second coat, make sure the first is completely dry! You can choose several colors that are present in your interior.

STEP H: DECORATE

Painted planters can be decorated. For these purposes, twine or twine, as well as thick woolen threads, are suitable. Just wrap them around the planter. Or make one wide or several narrow stripes. Tie the loose ends into a decorative knot or bow. Alternatively, the edges of the threads can be discreetly secured with superglue. Why not apply a pattern or lettering with a permanent marker?

The fruit drawer makes a great roomy tray. You can serve the table on it, and the plants on the windowsill in such a stand also look great. In addition to it, I created a stylish flower pot from an old bucket and an unnecessary shirt.

I tinted the products with gouache and watercolor paint, completely painted the tray, dried it, rubbed it lightly with sandpaper, fixed the color with furniture varnish.

A cache-pot in a shirt I cut off the place where the handle is attached from the plastic bucket with scissors. I laid out a thin layer of Moment glue around the perimeter. I put on this place the edge of the lace from the old shirt. I fixed the cut of the fabric with a pin so that the glue was evenly high (photo 2) I carefully sewed the edges of the lace by hand. I cut and glued the bottom edge of the shirt so that it covered the bucket (photo 3) I drew some parts of the lace with white paint for contrast. I put paint on a sponge and patted it along the edge of the pot (photo 4). I cut a hole at the bottom of the bucket, and used a plate as a pallet.

Do-it-yourself eco-friendly pots
I bring to your attention a couple of ideas on how you can make original pots for flowerpots with indoor plants from scrap materials.

After the purchase of fruit, a wooden box was left. Outside and inside, I processed its walls and bottom with sandpaper. I found a suitable floral pattern on the Internet. I redrawn it on the walls outside (you can print it and transfer it through carbon paper). Burned the drawing along the lines. The cache-pot is ready, if desired, the box can be varnished.

I made a planter for 4 pots of a slightly smaller size from improvised material. I cut a rectangle of the desired size from plywood 12 mm thick. On the site I collected fallen tree branches, cut them into cuttings 2/3 of the height of the pots. I fixed the details on a plywood base along the entire perimeter with self-tapping screws and a thermal gun, the "pots-front garden" is ready.
