DIY workshop heater for a workshop: photos and options on video
OWN WORKSHOP OVEN OVEN
A neighbor on the site, a driver with great experience, after putting things in order in the garage, was going to throw out three brake drums. I took them for myself and made a compact workshop oven.
One drum was used as a base, and the other two as a brazier (photo 1).
At the base, I sawed out the opening of the ash pan with a grinder, then bolted the lower drum to it with bolts and nuts through the holes in it.
I welded a grate of the required size from a square profile and laid it on the bottom of the middle drum (photo 2). Using three curved plates 10 mm thick (found in my scrap metal) (photo 3), I welded the brazier drums together (photo 4) By the size of the ash pan, I welded an ash trough made of sheet metal so that it was convenient to remove it.
I screwed a forged store handle to it.
I decided to make the oven door not from the side, as usual, but from above. I enlarged the hole on the upper drum by cutting off the excess with a grinder. I made two semicircular parts from sheet metal 10 mm thick, one will be a door, the second will be a ceiling and at the same time a support for a chimney, I made markings for a pipe on it (photo 5).
The details were bolted.
I cut a circle for the pipe and welded it into the hole (photo 6). I also welded a forged handle to the door cover. In the chimney, I installed a gate damper to regulate the combustion process. The stove was primed and painted with black heat-resistant paint.

DIY spotlight heater
A neighbor dropped in for a visit and over a cup of coffee complained that he had bought a heater, but it burned out after a little more than a month. I asked a friend to give me a faulty device, which in one free evening he converted not just into a heater, but also into a searchlight.
I took out all the "stuffing" from the heater, left only the body with the reflector. In the latter, on the sides, I cut out two holes for ceramic holders E 27 for incandescent lamps. In the case, I enlarged one of the holes of my own toggle switch for a new switch. I fixed the sockets in the reflector and screwed the bulbs into them. Then, according to the scheme, he connected the contacts of the cartridges with the contacts of the switches with wires, and soldered a cord into the circuit to connect to the network. The result is a powerful 4-lamp floodlight, from which you can also warm your hands.
